The Traveller

Journeys can be interesting. All my family members complain about my sales profession. “You travel in the night & work in the day,” is my Mom’s complaint almost every day. But I should admit I have had my share of excitement through the travels associated with my job.

To begin with I found my first girlfriend on the bus to Hyderabad. I found a girl, who has now taken the position of my lost sister, train journey form Delhi to Hyderabad. Wow! That was unarguably the best journey of my life.

I may be breaching my modesty, but I am sometimes forced to believe that I flaunt a charisma, which draws people toward me. A elderly lady I was traveling to Delhi with got so close to me, that she took me along to her hotel and got me a room for a quarter of the normal tariff. She was the owner of Southern travels. Couple of times I have been offered food by my co-passengers, the ones who get tiffin boxes from home for long journeys. I whole heartedly accept this; its always ten times better than the food peddlers sell on railway platforms.

Forget the incidents; the moment you are on train you can get into a world of your own – reading books, watching movies, deep thoughts… which seldom gets a chance in your day to day melee.

Anybody there who still disapproves of travel?
